Remove Restore Ransomware (.r3store Files)

Restore Ransomware (also called R3store) is a deadly malware that encrypts certain files on targeted computer. It is very similar to HiddenTear ransomware. Once this virus is run on the system, it immediately infects files and appends the extension with .r3store. To site an example, a word file with filename Mydocument.docx will be converted to Mydocument.r3store when encrypted.

To further inform user about the attack, Restore will also place a text file READ_IT – (random characters) on every folder whenever there are encrypted files. The message contains instructions, contact email address, and payment amount. Here are some excerpts from Restore text file:

Your files are encrypted.
(Pictures, Docs, Music etc…) Please do not close this window as it will result in serious computer damage. If you wish to use your computer ever again and unlock your files, please send $450 Dollars in bitcoins to the address at the bottom of the page.
