.Muslat File Recovery and Ransomware Removal

Muslat ransomware is known as the recent version of STOP malware and is quickly spreading over the internet via same tactics used by older variants. Makers of this virus are relying heavily on malicious advertising campaign where pop-up ads and redirects aims to mislead users and persuade them to download a bogus Windows activator, software update, and similar things.

Unknown to web users, what they are about to execute may cause severe troubles on the computer seriously infecting their precious data. Once Muslat ransom virus is executed, it will drop several files on the system that can weaken security settings and further inflict changes that will deny access to security websites and portals. Hence, the final infection stage is carried out to important file types like .Docx, .Xlsx, .Pdf, .Jpg, . Png, .Eps, .Psd, and so on.

Muslat virus utilizes AES-256 grade encryption algorithm to render target files useless. Aside from locking the data, appending it with .muslat file extension also removes its association to installed software and therefore, it is no longer operable. Similar to older versions, there is no handy tool that can easily recover .muslat encrypted files and only way to resolve the issues is to give-in to attackers demand.
